Antoebiasis of Vagina

Abstract

|
Amebic vaginitis is a rare condition. The patient was a 7-year-old¢¥ girl. The chief complaint was excessive malorderous yellow reddish increasing vaginal discharge of 14 days¢¥ duration. The patient¢¥s mother had amebic dysentery approximately one year ago and pills in a drug store. Microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge revealed well moving typical entamoeba histolytica and therefore amebic vaginitis was diagnosed. The stool examination was negative.
Therefore emetine hydrochloride injection subcutaneously and carbarson orally were, given. Ten days later the disease subsided.
